What is Signpainting?
Signpainting or signwriting is the traditional way of painting letters and logos on all conceivable surfaces, from buildings and windows to panels, vehicles and menus. A striking work of art, handmade as in the past. An ‘eye catcher’ that exudes what a brand or company stands for.
When people began cutting adhesive letters with computer-controlled plotters in the late 1980s, our cities were flooded by a tsunami of mass production in vinyl and synthetic materials. This made it very difficult for most traditional letter painters. However, times are changing because more and more companies are realizing that a plastic look is simply not good enough when it comes to brand experience.
